IFHMB’s Financial Literacy Class teaches individuals how to understand money management issues, the importance of good credit, how to become a homeowner and how to preserve homeownership. Class participants learn how to think about their financial choices, discuss money and financial issues without discomfort, plan for the future, and respond confidently to life’s events.

The class curriculum is based in part on a Fannie Mae product called “CreditSmart.” It consists of 12 modules that include:

Managing Your Money, Goal Setting, Banking Services, Your Credit and Why It is Important, Planning Your Future, Preserving Homeownership.

Now, more than ever, consumers are looking for reliable information on credit, money management, homeownership, and foreclosure avoidance. Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board’s Financial Literacy program covers all of these topics and more.

Contact IFHMB today at 1-800-321-0911 ext 101 to request this class for your group or organization. Classes are offered in two (2) or four (4) hour sessions.
