       Fair Housing Testers Needed

Fair Housing testers play an important role in helping enforce fair housing in the community. Testers perform tests on an as needed basis, up to several tests in a month. Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board seeks persons of all races, ages, and the disabled to perform tests. Tests are conducted Mondays through Fridays during the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Potential testers must:

  • Possess good observation skills and be able to write clear, objective reports
  • Have reliable transportation and an insured and licensed vehicle
  • Have no felony or fraud convictions
  • Not be affiliated with the housing provider industry
  • Be available approximately 3-4 hours for each investigation
  • Attend a tester training session
  • Conduct a practice test

Testers receive a $55 stipend per test they conduct and are reimbursed for mileage costs. For more information about becoming a tester, call 1-800-321-0911 ext. 110 or email fairhousing@ifhmb.com
